Rachel Weisz set to star in and produce darkly comedic Netflix series “Vladimir” – obsession, secrets, and powerful women at the forefront

Hollywood, California – Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz is set to both star in and serve as an executive producer for a new limited series on Netflix. The show is based on the novel “Vladimir” by Julia May Jonas, scheduled for release in 2022.

The series, “Vladimir,” follows the story of a woman whose life begins to spiral out of control as she becomes infatuated with a captivating new coworker. Filled with intrigue, dark humor, and complex characters, the show delves into the consequences of one woman’s relentless pursuit to transform her fantasies into reality.

Julia May Jonas, the author of the novel, will be the creator and writer of the series, working alongside showrunner Kate Robin. In addition to Weisz, Jonas, and Robin, the series will be executive produced by Sharon Horgan, Stacy Greenberg, and Kira Carstensen representing Merman, as well as Jason Winer and Jon Radler from Small Dog Picture Company. The studio behind the project is 20th Television.
