Rescue • Alive • Miracle: Israeli Hostage Rescued from Gaza Tunnel Network & Reunited with Family

Beer Sheva, Israel – The family of Farhan Al-Qadi, the first Israeli hostage rescued from Hamas’ tunnel network in Gaza, is overjoyed at his unbelievable rescue, hailing it as a miraculous event. Al-Qadi, a 52-year-old Bedouin Israeli from Rahat, was held captive since October 7 but was found in stable condition after a complex operation in southern Gaza.

Al-Qadi’s rescue marks the eighth successful hostage retrieval by the Israeli military during the war and the first from inside Hamas’ tunnel network. His family expressed tears of joy upon reuniting with him at the Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva, where he is currently receiving care.

According to Israeli military officials, Al-Qadi was found alone without his captors by Israeli special forces conducting a search in southern Gaza based on intelligence. His brother, Juma’a, described the emotional reunion as a moment where “he was dead and is now brought back to life.”

Al-Qadi’s harrowing experience in captivity for 11 months left a lasting impact not only on him but also on his family and community. His brother recalled the brutal conditions Al-Qadi endured, including being shot in the leg and lacking proper medical treatment during his time in captivity.

The rescue of Al-Qadi has brought hope to many, but the challenges remain as there are still over 100 hostages from the same attack awaiting freedom. Protests demanding more efforts for their release have been ongoing, highlighting the urgency of the situation in Gaza.

As negotiations for a potential ceasefire and hostage release continue, the international community is closely monitoring the developments. With increasing intensity in recent weeks, there is hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflicts plaguing the region.

The Bedouin community in Tarabin village, where Al-Qadi is from, stands proud that his rescue was achieved without shedding any blood. This miraculous event serves as a beacon of hope amidst the ongoing challenges faced by those still held captive in Gaza.

Overall, Al-Qadi’s rescue represents a significant moment in the ongoing conflict, shedding light on the plight of hostages and the tireless efforts of those working towards peace in the region.
