Los Angeles, California – The daughter of actor Henry Winkler, Zoe Winkler, recently shared on her podcast, “What in the Winkler?!”, how her father intervened to prevent her from becoming a reality TV star or appearing on “The Bachelorette”. Zoe, 44, recalled the time when she was being considered for “The Bachelorette” and her father, Henry, 79, stepped in to protect her.
Zoe revealed that years ago, she was approached to be part of a reality show called “Quarter Life Crisis” alongside Kim Kardashian and Sarah Howard. However, her father’s decisive action led to her declining the offer. Despite missing out on reality TV fame, Zoe expressed gratitude for being able to pursue her true passion of teaching, which she described as the best job she could have asked for.
Apart from her teaching career, Zoe also co-founded the nonprofit organization This Is About Humanity in 2018. The organization aims to assist families who were separated at the US-Mexico border, showcasing Zoe’s commitment to social causes and community service.
The Emmy-winning actor, Henry Winkler, praised his daughter’s teaching skills, emphasizing that she was meant to be an educator. During his Emmy acceptance speech for “Barry” in 2018, he acknowledged his children, including Zoe, for their support throughout his career.
In addition to teaching, Zoe is married to actor Rob Reinis, and the couple has three children. Reflecting on her path, Zoe recognized her father’s influence in steering her away from the glitz of reality TV towards a fulfilling career in education.
Henry Winkler’s protective instincts and guidance evidently played a significant role in shaping Zoe’s journey as she continues to make a positive impact through her teaching and charitable work. The story of Zoe Winkler serves as a reminder of the importance of following one’s true calling, even in the face of tempting opportunities in the spotlight.
