(AbsoluteNews.com) – Republicans across the country have been crafting legislation to ensure elections stay free and fair. They don’t want a repeat of 2020 in the midterms. Florida is now the latest state to pass an election security law.
On May 6, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) signed the legislation into law.

The new law will strengthen the state’s voter ID requirement. It also tightens the mail-in voting law by outlawing universal ballots. That would prevent counties from sending ballots to everyone, instead of just to the people who request them. The law also limits the number of drop boxes and outlaws ballots harvesting.
A number of Liberal groups have already sued to stop the law from going into effect. They claim it puts obstacles in the way of voters. However, DeSantis is applauding the law, telling “Fox & Friends” that his state has the “strongest election integrity measures” in the US.
