Sean Combs Faces New Sex Trafficking Charges Just Days Before Trial, Jury Selection Looms – CNN Update

NEW YORK, NY – Federal prosecutors have added two new criminal charges against hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, just one month before his upcoming trial in New York on sex trafficking allegations.

The additional charges include one count of sex trafficking and one count of transportation to engage in prostitution in connection to “Victim-2,” as detailed in a revised indictment filed on Friday. The alleged incidents occurred between 2021 and 2024.

Previously, Combs had been facing charges of racketeering conspiracy, transportation to engage in prostitution involving three victims, and one count of sex trafficking in relation to “Victim-1.” With the new charges, he now faces a total of five federal charges.

Jury selection for Combs’ trial is expected to commence on May 5, and he has maintained his plea of not guilty.

According to prosecutors, Combs and his associates purportedly utilized his influence to coerce women, often under the guise of romantic relationships, into participating in sexual acts. These encounters, referred to as “Freak Offs,” allegedly involved drugging women and compelling them to engage in sexual activities with male prostitutes, sometimes lasting for several days and being recorded on video.

Combs’ legal team argues that no criminal activity took place, asserting that the sexual encounters were consensual and part of long-term relationships.

Additionally, Combs is accused of responding violently when his authority was challenged, with one instance in the indictment detailing him allegedly dangling a victim over an apartment balcony and being linked to incidents of kidnapping and arson.

The story continues to develop as new information emerges.
