Seattle Sued By Grieving Father

( – In June, anarchists took over a six-block area in downtown Seattle. The area, known as the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP), became incredibly violent and at least two people were murdered there. The father of one of those victims is now suing the state and local governments.

Horace Anderson Sr. filed lawsuits against Washington, Seattle, and King County for $1 billion each. His 19-year-old son, Horace Jr., died on June 20 while in CHOP. The grieving father is accusing officials of allowing a “state of lawlessness.”

Evan Oshan, his attorney, told KIRO Radio’s Dori Monson Show the autonomous zone was “a catastrophe waiting to happen” and the government failed the people on “so many levels.” Horace Sr. alleges paramedics were unable to get to his son in time to save his life because of blockades and other problems within the zone. The lawsuit claims the teenager “laid bleeding to death in the streets.”

Now, his dad wants the people responsible to pay.
