Senate Expected to Vote on Biden Mandates Soon

(AbsoluteNews.com) – Republican lawmakers believe President Joe Biden overstepped his authority when he issued a vaccine mandate for companies with over 100 employees. GOP lawmakers tried to defund the OSHA enforcement program pertaining to the mandate but were unsuccessful. Now, they’re going at it from a different angle.

Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) has introduced a bill that would use the Congressional Review Act to challenge Biden’s mandate. It’s a law written to allow Congress to push back on the executive branch when it feels a directive is a bad idea for the country. If the proposal objecting to the mandates passes the House and the Senate, it could void the forced jabs.

All 50 Republicans have said they’ll support the legislation. Vice President Kamala Harris would usually have to break the tie, but it turns out, there might not be a tie. That’s because Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) has already signaled he supports the measure. If he defects, the proposal would pass 51 to 49 in favor of the GOP. The Democratic senator recently said the government should not require private companies to mandate the vaccine.

If the Senate passes the legislation, it would head over to the House. However, there are doubts as to whether Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will bring it to a vote.
