Sex-Trafficking Trial for Sean “Diddy” Combs Denied Delay by Federal Judge

New York, NY – A federal judge in New York has denied a request to delay the upcoming sex-trafficking trial for Sean “Diddy” Combs. The judge rejected the request for a two-month delay, allowing jury selection to proceed on May 5 as originally scheduled.

During a recent court hearing, Judge Arun Subramanian expressed skepticism about the defense team’s request for more time to prepare, stating that it was unclear why additional time was needed. This decision comes after two additional charges were added to the case earlier this month. Prosecutors opposed any delay in the trial proceedings.

Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to five charges related to sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy. Prosecutors allege that these crimes occurred over a span of two decades. Following his arrest in September, Combs has been in federal detention in New York City.

The prosecution accuses Combs and others of coercing at least three women into engaging in sex acts, sometimes with the involvement of male prostitutes. The alleged incidents, referred to as “Freak Offs,” involved drugging and forcing the women into sex acts for multiple days. Authorities claim that Combs recorded some of these acts and manipulated the victims with promises of financial opportunities, career advancement, and threats of violence.

As the story continues to develop, updates will be provided as the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs moves forward.
