Ski-Lift Horror: Dozens Injured in Spain Resort Collapse – Exclusive Footage From the Scene!

Madrid, Spain – A ski lift collapse at the Astun ski resort in the Pyrenees mountains has left dozens injured, according to emergency officials in Spain.

Around 30 individuals were harmed in the incident, which occurred at midday local time. Ten of the injured were transferred to the hospital, with two in critical condition and two others requiring urgent medical attention. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported.

The Spanish Civil Guard stated that the ski lift stands at a height of 15 meters and part of its structure gave way due to a loose pulley. As a result, the chairs on the ski lift became destabilized, causing some of them to flip over.

Footage captured by the Civil Guard displayed a crowd of individuals stranded in the snow on the mountain post-ski lift collapse. Witnesses described the chaos, with one individual mentioning how the chairs bounced and people were thrown off.

By 3 p.m. local time, everyone stranded had been evacuated from the scene. The Spanish government’s delegate in Aragon, Fernando Beltrán Blazquez, confirmed the successful evacuation.

Spanish President Pedro Sanchez expressed his shock at the incident and reached out to Aragon’s president to offer government support. Sanchez conveyed his sympathy to the injured and their families.
