Her death was confirmed by her talent manager, Annie Spolianky, who described TerBlanche as a “wonderful, kind, and loving person.”

TerBlanche, a native of Rustenberg, South Africa, was crowned Miss Teen South Africa in 1991 before embarking on a successful acting career. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Gillian, a Hungarian princess, on “All My Children” from 1997 to 2001. The character met a tragic end when she was fatally shot in a case of mistaken identity and later appeared as a ghost in the show’s final episode in 2011.
