(AbsoluteNews.com) – President Donald Trump promised the American people he was going to secure the border. The US Supreme Court recently made that a lot easier with its decision allowing federal authorities to continue expedited deportations. And now, more steps are being taken to keep the country safe.
On June 25, the Pentagon announced Defense Secretary Mark Esper has approved the Department of Homeland Security request to keep 4,000 troops on the Mexican-American border through September 2021. The soldiers are coming from the National Guard and they’ll continue to support Border Patrol agents.
Pentagon: “Sec. Esper has approved a request for assistance from the @DHSgov & authorized the deployment of up to 4,000 DOD personnel to the southern border, beginning in October.
This DoD support will primarily be sourced from the National Guard.” https://t.co/KHXlMYF5UL

A properly secured border is essential to maintain the safety of the American people. President Trump has always understood the border issue which is why he’s taken so many so many steps to fortify the area. Hopefully, he will have another four years to complete the process.
