Sports bar and grill shot up by patron described as ‘annoying’

DAYTONA BEACH, FL – A night out turned into chaos when a man opened fire at a bar, injuring three people. The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Anthony Kaznakoff, is now behind bars facing serious charges.

The altercation began when Kaznakoff was asked to leave South Turn Sports Bar and Grill after creating a disturbance. Patrons described him as obnoxiously displaying money and challenging others to gamble. Andrew Cortez, a regular at the bar, said he felt something was off with the man.

After being ejected, Kaznakoff allegedly returned, exchanged heated words at the entrance, and then pulled out a gun, firing multiple shots. The scene was marked by bullet holes in the windows and a trash can, with the bar shuttered the next day.

Police swiftly located Kaznakoff, charging him with attempted felony murder and using a firearm under the influence. The bar’s Facebook page described the attack as “senseless,” adding that one victim underwent emergency surgery, possibly saved by quick-thinking patrons who applied a tourniquet.

No updates have been released on the victims’ conditions, though all are reportedly alive. The bar has announced it will remain closed temporarily, allowing staff to process the traumatic event.
