(AbsoluteNews.com) – When former President Donald Trump was in the Oval Office, he faced two rounds of impeachment, neither of which led to a conviction. Now former Trump advisor Stephen Miller speculates President Joe Biden could face an indictment of his own. In an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, he said the first Articles of Impeachment could come from the president’s refusal to adhere to the court-ordered Remain in Mexico policy.
On August 24, the Supreme Court ordered the current administration to restart the Remain in Mexico effort, which outlines sending migrants back to Mexico while awaiting their immigration case.
Although on the surface it appears Biden is breaking a SCOTUS ruling to send migrants back to Mexico, some legal experts believe the court’s ruling merely suggested the administration make a sincere effort to restart the program. Constitutional law teacher Dan Urman said the ruling leaves the door open for the administration to try and stop the program in the future.
Still, Miller believes Biden is openly defying the order handed down by the Supreme Court. He believes if Republicans take over the majority in Congress in 2022, they should attempt to impeach him for the alleged offense.
