Suspect in Michael Myers Mask Fatally Shot by Vegas Cop Ahead of Halloween -Breaking 911

North Las Vegas Police responded to reports of a person pointing a gun at bystanders on Monday, Oct. 10. They shot and killed an armed suspect who was wearing a Michael Myers-style mask.

Police shot the mask-bearing man near the Martin Luther King, Jr. statue in North Las Vegas on Monday night. The man’s sister remained at the bus stop across the street from the shooting scene.

The events that would lead to the shooting began when a 911 caller said a man had pulled a gun on him at the Martin Luther King, Jr. statue. The call was dropped, and the caller called 911 again to say the man was at a car wash.

A man pulled a gun on customers and walked out into the middle of the street, where an officer made contact with him. The officer repeatedly asked the suspect to stop, put his hands up and not to reach for his firearm, but the suspect ignored the commands.

Officer Anthony Malear fired eight rounds at the suspect after he refused to stop and walked toward five bystanders with a loaded pistol. After being shot by the police officer, he was pronounced dead on the scene.
