Los Angeles, CA – Changes are on the horizon for the hit show “Ted Lasso.” According to reports, the character of Ted’s 12-year-old son Henry will be recast for the upcoming Season 4. Gus Turner, who portrayed Jason Sudeikis’ on-screen son in the first three seasons, will be replaced for the new season.
The comedy series, which airs on Apple TV+, is currently in search of a new actor to take on the role of Henry. Throughout the series, Henry mostly appeared via FaceTime calls with his father Ted, who had relocated to London to coach AFC Richmond while Henry remained in Kansas with his mother, Michelle.
In the Season 3 finale, there is a heartwarming reunion between Ted and Henry, resulting in Ted leaving Richmond and returning to Kansas. As of now, only Jason Sudeikis has been confirmed to reprise his role for Season 4, while Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are expected to return as well, with Juno Temple in negotiations to join the cast.
While details around the return of co-creator Brendan Hunt are uncertain, reports indicate that he has been working on the scripts with Sudeikis and Goldstein for the upcoming season. The show, which ran from 2020 to 2023, had viewers speculating if Season 3 was the final installment.
In a recent podcast appearance, Sudeikis confirmed that “Ted Lasso” will indeed be back for a fourth season. The new season will see Ted coaching a women’s soccer team, marking a new chapter in the beloved character’s journey.
