Teen Admits To Murder On Instagram After Asking His Buddy To Help Him Bury The Body

The Bensalem Police Department received a 911 call Friday afternoon about a possible homicide.

A teenage girl who had received an Instagram video chat from a 16-year-old friend who had just killed someone. When her friend reached out, he asked her if she would help him bury the body of the person he had just killed. Out of horror and concern, she contacted the authorities for help.

Police say 16-year-old Joshua Cooper confessed to the murder of a 13-year-old girl on social media. The video that he sent his teenage friend showed the lower extremities of an obviously deceased body that was covered in blood. It is alleged that the teen blatantly admitted to killing his victim in the video.

A shooting happened at a trailer park in Bensalem on Friday in which Cooper shot his victim to death. The victim’s family lived nearby, though they say that they didn’t hear anything like a suspicious gunshot.

The juvenile suspect was living in a trailer that officers located. Once he heard the police coming for him, he tried to run out of the trailer and away from the authorities. Despite the teen’s best efforts to flee, he was arrested about a mile away from his initial location.

Police found a body of a teenage girl in the bathroom of a mobile home owned by Cooper, just like what was depicted in the video. It was evident that someone attempted significant clean-up after the bloody murder took place.

Cooper faced charges of criminal homicide, possessing instruments of crime, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. The 16-year-old boy was denied bail. The teen is being held at the Edison Juvenile Detention Center as a result of his homicidal crimes.
