Teens Indicted For Street Racing Crash That Killed Four Others

Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced Monday that two teenagers were indicted on manslaughter charges after allegedly colliding with another vehicle while street racing in a stolen car earlier this year in Phoenix, Arizona.

A total of four counts of manslaughter, one count of aggravated assault, three counts of endangerment, and one count of leaving the scene of a fatal accident have been filed against Jakel Huckaby and Elena Marie Rodriguez who are both 17 years old.

According to Rachel Mitchell, the two individuals’ “senseless acts have caused pain and suffering to the families of those killed.”

“We will hold accountable anyone who engages in this type of reckless behavior,” Mitchell said.

On July 22, two teens were allegedly speeding while racing on the streets of northern Phoenix when they crashed into another vehicle.

Terry Hill, 28, Sara Anne, 37, and British Conception Pena, 39, all in the other vehicle, died along with one of the passengers in the stolen vehicle, 19-year-old Galaxy Saunders.

According to court records, neither suspect’s attorney was immediately available on Monday.
