Tokyo, Japan – Bandai Namco has revealed that a new downloadable character, Fahkumram, will join the roster of Tekken 8 this summer. Players can look forward to the first of several updates on May 13, when version 2.01 will be released. This update includes the highly anticipated Tekken Ghost Showdown mode, available for free in the Tekken Fight Lounge. Two additional paid content packs, the Cyber Phantom and Vigilante Tech packs, will also debut, alongside various balance adjustments aimed at improving gameplay dynamics.
Shortly after, a second update, version 2.02, lands on June 3. This update will feature a collaboration with the Karate Kid franchise, introducing a free hoodie available for players through the Tekken Shop. Additionally, fans can expect new classic costumes, including themed outfits for characters like Dragunov, Kuma, and Panda, with both free and paid options available.
In a move that highlights the ongoing engagement with players, version 2.03 is set to roll out this summer. This update will celebrate the 45th anniversary of PAC-MAN and will include a battle stage inspired by the iconic game, available for purchase as part of the Season 2 Character and Stage Pass. Free offerings like PAC-MAN themed hit effects, a commemorative T-shirt, and other cosmetic items will enhance player experience while maintaining the classic charm of the franchise.
Tekken 8, which has already made its mark on gaming consoles, is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC users via Steam.
