White House plan to send gas rebate cards complicated by chip shortages – The Washington Post
The White House is reportedly considering distributing gas rebate cards to U.S. residents to help lower gas prices, which have reached record levels.
President Biden blamed the war in Ukraine for the rapidly escalating price of oil and gas. The President’s decision to sanction Russia pushed the world into severe energy price spikes.
Biden further decided to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline that would have been transporting 800,000 barrels a day to the U.S. via Canada. Biden said he was going to ‘put the fossil fuel industry out of business; what he appears to have meant is the American citizen out of business and onto the street homeless and needy.
“The president has made clear that he is willing to explore all options and hear all ideas that would help lower gas prices for the American people,” – Said a White House official while doing nothing to change the equation. An example, he could eliminate all Federal Taxes on every gallon of gas with the same Sanction writing pen he has on his desk, instantly cutting prices by 18.3 cents per gallon plus a margin likely 20-22 cents per gallon for everyone all at once. Americans have seen countless “executive orders” pass through in record time; why not a tax break on gasoline?
We fear, in reality, that the only thing Biden could do to lower prices for the American people at this point is to resign and let someone with a rational thought process take the lead.
Biden has consistently blamed gas, food, and housing prices on the war in Ukraine and Putin, then Republicans, and now oil companies ‘greed’.
Now is the most challenging time in modern American history. The President is trying to make up for his repeated policy mistakes by digging America into a deeper hole with more money printing in the form of handout debit cards.
Any more handouts will further drive up inflation, making everyday life even less affordable for most Americans.
