LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Tragedy struck the set of Marvel’s “Wonder Man” on Tuesday when a crew member lost his life in a workplace accident. The incident occurred at CBS Radford Studios in Studio City, California.
Marvel Studios released a statement confirming the crew member’s death and expressed their condolences to the victim’s family and friends. The studio also pledged its full cooperation with the investigation into the accident.
The deceased crew member was identified as 41-year-old Juan Carlos Osorio of Temple City, California. According to the LA County Medical Examiner’s office, Osorio was a rigger who fell from the rafters on set.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to the address for CBS Radford Studios for a death investigation. Officer Charles Miller confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and no foul play is suspected.
The upcoming Marvel series “Wonder Man” was set to feature Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his roles in “Aquaman” and HBO’s “Watchmen.” The show was intended for streaming on Disney+ but does not have a confirmed release date.
