Trump Gives Vaccine Update

( – The CDC recently asked states to prepare sites just in case a COVID-19 vaccine will be ready for distribution in early November. The health agency wants to make sure they can get the immunization out to the people who need it quickly. On Tuesday, September 15, President Donald Trump gave an update on the race to find a vaccine during an interview with “Fox & Friends.”

Trump told the Fox News’ hosts he isn’t pushing for a vaccine “for political reasons,” as some Democrats have said. The commander-in-chief said the FDA could approve a drug in a “matter of weeks.” He’s not exactly sure when but assured Americans “a lot of great companies” are working on it.

The development of a coronavirus vaccine has been one of Trump’s biggest priorities. His program, Operation Warp Speed, even offered incentives to companies to speed up the process. When an immunization is finally approved, high-risk individuals are expected to receive it first.
