(AbsoluteNews.com) – The 2020 election was one of the most contentious in American history. More than 74 million people voted for former President Donald Trump and when the votes were counted, many of those people believed the election results were wrong. There were multiple allegations of voter fraud across the country.
In the weeks that followed the election, Trump’s team filed multiple lawsuits challenging Joe Biden’s win. They just wanted a court to listen to the evidence in their case and make a fair decision. Unfortunately, one after another dismissed the cases, including the Supreme Court. Trump recently spoke out about the decision by the high court.
Trump’s Reaction
On Tuesday, March 16, Trump spoke to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo about a wide range of subjects. One of the topics he touched on was the 2020 presidential race and the Supreme Court’s reaction to it. The high court recently refused to hear any of the cases related to the election. The justices didn’t even take the time to listen to the evidence. That angered many Americans, including the former president.
Trump told the Fox host that the justices on the high court lacked the “courage to overturn elections that should have been overturned.” He explained that he believes as many as millions of votes might have been in question.
Future Elections
Voters may never get the answers they want about the 2020 elections, but they can move forward by working to perfect the American experiment. The only true way to do that is by continuing to fight for our Republic.
The 2022 midterms are less than two years away. Everyone has the power to volunteer and contribute (with time or money) to the campaigns of people they think will serve the country well. As Edmund Burke said 200 years ago, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
