(AbsoluteNews.com) – The 2020 election is less than a month away and the candidates are campaigning hard. President Donald Trump hasn’t been holding live events because of his COVID-19 diagnosis, but he’s made sure the voters know exactly how he feels about a whole host of issues — particularly, China.
Trump Makes a Promise
On October 8, President Trump spoke to Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo about a number of pressing issues. One of those was the US’ relationship with China.
The Fox host asked Trump what he plans to do to continue rebuilding the economy in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic’s damage. The president explained he’s going to continue holding China to account. One way to do that is by using tariffs.
Trump said he’s going to continue tariffs on China” because the US is getting multiple billions of dollars” with them. The POTUS said he gave farmers “all of the money” and still has “tens of billions left over” that went into the Treasury.
The president said China is trying to keep him happy because they know he’s tough. For instance, the country just ordered “the largest order of soybeans in history.” They did that because they know he means what he says and is not interested in playing games with the Communist country.
Crackdown
The Trump administration is extremely tough on China. It has implemented a number of sanctions against the country and its companies in recent months. The actions resulted from numerous human rights violations and the way the Communist government handled the coronavirus pandemic.
On November 3, Americans will go to the polls and decide if they want a president who’s tough on China or Joe Biden. Their choice will determine whether the Communist government is reigned in for at least four more years, or if China is allowed to walk all over us.
