Trump Takes Steps Assuring Free COVID Vaccines

( – President Donald Trump’s “Warp Speed” COVID-19 immunization is well on its way to finding a sustainable treatment for the virus. This week, the administration made a massive deal to help keep the possible vaccine affordable for the American people.

On July 22, the Trump administration signed an agreement with BioNTech, a German biotech firm, and Pfizer, an American pharma company. The US will pay $1.95 billion for the production and delivery of 100 million doses of an effective and safe COVID-19 vaccine. Our government will also be able to acquire 500 million more doses.

According to reports, the potential vaccine will cost $19.50 or right around $40 for two doses. Sally Beatty, a Pfizer spokeswoman, said the company’s price accounts for “public health requirements during the training.” In June, the Trump administration said the immunization will cost nothing for vulnerable and low-income people in the US.

The latest deal illustrates how important a hunt for a vaccine is for President Trump.
