(AbsoluteNews.com) – On Tuesday, December 15, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) gave up on the fight to save the presidency. Instead of standing behind the leader of his party, President Donald Trump, the senator went against the wishes of the president to congratulate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. The commander-in-chief lashed out when he learned of McConnell’s treachery.
On Wednesday, President Trump shared an article about Republicans who are angry at McConnell. He pointed out that 75 million people voted to re-elect him and said the party “must finally learn to fight.”
Trump's allies slam Mitch McConnell for congratulating Biden https://t.co/ak9nu6420L via @MailOnline. Mitch, 75,000,000 VOTES, a record for a sitting President (by a lot). Too soon to give up. Republican Party must finally learn to fight. People are angry!

The president’s comments come after another report that McConnell held a call with GOP senators where he warned them against getting involved in Trump’s fight to ensure the election was fair. The problem with that is that the vast majority of the party’s voters are standing behind their commander-in-chief. They want the fight to continue and McConnell is supposed to represent the people, not his own self-interests.
