Two arrested for targeted killing of a doctor

LOS ANGELES, CA – Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the August murder of Dr. Hamid Qajar, a Woodland Hills physician.

Evin Hartman, 42, was arrested in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, November 26th. He has a lengthy criminal history, including multiple convictions for armed robbery and assault.

Ashley Rose Sweeting, 35, was arrested in the San Fernando Valley on the same day. Her criminal history includes charges related to drug possession and theft.

Dr. Qajar was shot and killed outside his medical office on August 16th. The motive for the killing remains unclear, but authorities believe the attack was targeted.

The LAPD, with the assistance of the FBI, tracked down and arrested the suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests may be possible.

Dr. Qajar had a history of confrontations and threats. In the months leading up to his murder, he had been the victim of multiple assaults. In one incident, he was attacked by three men with baseball bats, leaving him with significant injuries. This pattern of violence raises questions about the motive behind the murder and whether it was connected to his professional or personal life.

While Dr. Qajar was involved in several legal disputes, including a contentious divorce, it is unclear if these issues were connected to his murder.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will review the evidence and determine the appropriate charges against Hartman and Sweeting.

The community of Woodland Hills is still reeling from the tragic loss of Dr. Qajar, a respected member of the medical community. Many are hoping that justice will be served and that the motive behind the killing will be revealed.
