(AbsoluteNews.com) – President Joe Biden recently offered to evacuate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy over fears Russia would target him. He declined the US POTUS’ offer, insisting on staying and fighting for his country. Now, an assassination plot against Zelenskyy has been thwarted, but it wasn’t the US that saved him.
On March 1, in a post on Telegram, Ukraine’s National Security Council Oleksiy Danilov revealed two groups of assassins tried to kill Zelenskyy. He said he was aware of the “special operation” Vladimir Putin loyalist and head of the Shechen forces, Ramzan Kadyrov, was supposed to carry out to kill the Ukrainian president. The groups encountered stiff resistance from the Ukrainians and were “eliminated.”
Danilov said his people aren’t going to give their land or their president to anyone.
An assassination attempt on Volodymyr Zelenskyy, prepared by an "elite group of Kadyrovtsi (Kadyrov's thugs)," has been prevented in Kyiv Oblast, @NSDC_ua secretary Oleksiy Danilov said. They were terminated.

According to media reports, Russian intelligence officers who do not support the war allegedly tipped off Ukrainian officials in Kyiv. Kadyrov confirmed via Telegram that two service members were killed and six others were injured, but made no mention of an assassination plot.
Kadyrov has spoken out against the invasion, not because he doesn’t believe in it, but because he thinks it should be more aggressive. Military experts have said the presence of Chechen forces on the ground could change the calculus of the war, according to American defense advisory group military analyst Michael Kofman.
