(AbsoluteNews.com) – In mid-August, the world learned Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny was in a coma after being poisoned. He has since recovered and is now speaking out about his experience.
On Sunday, October 18, CBS aired a “60 Minutes” interview with Navalny. The vocal critic of Vladimir Putin talked about falling ill on a flight to Moscow in August. He told the flight attendant he was poisoned and “going to die.” He spent more than a month in the hospital, much of it in the ICU.
Navalny went on to accuse Putin of trying to kill him. He said he’s “sure” the Russian president is responsible. The opposition leader went on to say he’s not going to stop speaking out.
“My job is to not be afraid,” says Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny.
“Is it, in your mind worth your life?” Three years after first interviewing him, Lesley Stahl re-asks Navalny if the recent assassination attempt has changed his perspective. https://t.co/siaNwX6yfi pic.twitter.com/t7HGxTeF4c

President Putin has denied he had any part in the poisoning. One of his spokesmen called the accusations “completely baseless.” Navalny is standing firm, however, and plans to continue his opposition campaign.
