Vladimir Putin Denies Being Part of Assassination Attempt

(AbsoluteNews.com) – On Monday, December 14, research group Bellingcat published a bombshell report accusing Russia of poisoning opposition leader Alexei Navalny. President Vladimir Putin is now denying those allegations.

According to the report, the Kremlin had spies following Navalny for years. It accuses the country’s national security agency of communicating with chemical experts in the days before the opposition leader was poisoned with the Soviet-era nerve agent, Novichok. On Thursday, Putin denied the allegations, chuckling and saying that if he wanted to kill Navalny with poison “it would have been done.”

The report showed a lot of circumstantial evidence, for sure. But is that enough to pin it on Putin? That’s not for us to decide. As for Navalny, he survived the poisoning and blames Putin for the attack. He’s said that he plans to go back to Russia to continue his fight against the president.
