Las Vegas, Nevada – Warner Bros. Pictures recently announced significant changes to its movie release schedule ahead of CinemaCon, a highly anticipated event in the film industry. One of the major shifts involves the Maggie Gyllenhaal-directed Frankenstein feature, “The Bride,” which has been delayed by six months. The film, starring Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley, faced challenges during post-production, leading to the decision to move its release date from September 16th of this year to March 6th, 2026.
As a result of this delay, Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” has also been pushed back by a month, now set to premiere on September 26th. Additionally, the Leonardo DiCaprio-led movie will now have a global release in IMAX cinemas, allowing for a grand viewing experience on the big screen.
Furthermore, Zach Cregger’s new film, “Weapons,” originally scheduled for January 11th, 2026, has been moved up to August 8th of this year to fill the slot left by the rescheduled films. The cast includes Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, and Austin Abrams. Additionally, the animated film “The Cat in the Hat” has been moved up by a week to February 27th, offering fans an earlier release date to look forward to.
David Robert Mitchell’s “Flowervale Street” has seen a significant delay, with its release date now set for August 14th, 2026, pushed back from March 13th. These changes suggest a strategic approach by Warner Bros. Pictures to optimize the release schedule and ensure each film receives the attention and platform it deserves.
