‘Warner Bros ‘Sinners’ Shatters Box Office Expectations: Weekend Sales Soar Past Predictions!’

Los Angeles, California – Movie distribution executives in Hollywood are buzzing with excitement over Warner Bros’ latest film, Sinners. With a projected second weekend box office of around $30 million, the film has the potential to exceed expectations and reach up to $40 million as it attracts a wider audience beyond just horror fans. Sinners’ strong performance on its second Friday, bringing in $10 million, marks a significant -48% decrease from its opening day. By the end of the weekend, the film is expected to reach a total of $107.5 million, putting it on track to surpass the earnings of Creed, a previous collaboration between Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan.

These promising projections are setting the stage for what could be the best final weekend of April post-COVID, surpassing the $100.2 million earned in 2023 when Super Mario Bros was in its fourth week. The top five films in theaters are expected to bring in a combined total of $100.5 million to $110.5 million.

In addition to Sinners, other notable releases are making their mark at the box office. Amazon MGM Studios/Artists Equity’s The Accountant 2 is projected to earn $9.9 million on Friday, with a three-day total of around $23 million across 3,610 theaters. Disney’s 20th-anniversary re-release of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is also generating buzz, having brought in $10 million on Friday and expected to reach $18 million to $20 million by the end of the weekend.

Warner Bros/Legendary’s A Minecraft Movie and Sony/Screen Gems’ R-rated horror film, Until Dawn, are also holding their own at the box office. A Minecraft Movie earned $5 million on Friday and is projected to reach a fourth-weekend total of $18 million. Until Dawn, which brought in around $3 million on Friday, is estimated to have an opening weekend of $7 million for the $15 million production.

Overall, the box office landscape is looking promising, with a variety of films attracting audiences and generating excitement among moviegoers. As the weekend unfolds, it will be interesting to see how these films continue to perform and whether any surprises await at the box office.
