(AbsoluteNews.com) – For weeks, the State Department and President Joe Biden’s administration have been telling non-essential Americans to leave Ukraine. The government is concerned Russia will invade the country making it difficult to get US citizens to safety. The POTUS recently made it clear US troops won’t be coming to the rescue.
On February 10, an interview aired between Biden and NBC’s Lestor Holt. The president once again told Americans who are in Ukraine to leave. He explained it’s a “very different situation” than when the government has had to deal with terrorist organizations in the past. Biden is also concerned about “a world war” with Russia if the two militaries start shooting at one another.
The State Department issued another advisory the same day, warning America “will not be able to evacuate US citizens in the event of Russian military action” in the Eastern European nation. White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki repeated the warnings later that day.

On Sunday, February 13, during an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Louisiana Republican Senator Bill Cassidy said he “agree[d] with the president 100 percent.” He went on to say the US government shouldn’t endanger the US military because “somebody decides not to evacuate” despite being warned multiple times.
Do you think the US government should commit to sending troops to Ukraine to evacuate Americans who don’t leave beforehand?
