Bounsweet Community Day: Everything You Need to Know for Pokémon Go’s Event on Sunday, May 19!

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Pokémon trainers in the Columbus area are gearing up for an exciting Bounsweet Community Day event scheduled for Sunday, May 19, from 2-5 p.m. This event promises a surge in Bounsweet spawns, with the added thrill of finding the elusive shiny Bounsweet among the crowd. Trainers can expect various bonuses and perks to enhance their gameplay experience during this special event.

Community Day events are known for increasing the chances of encountering shiny Pokémon. According to findings from previous research, the odds of encountering a shiny Bounsweet during Community Days are estimated at around 1 in 24. This means that dedicated players who participate throughout the three-hour window are likely to add several shiny Pokémon to their collection.

Trainers looking to maximize their chances of finding a shiny Bounsweet can make use of Incense items to attract more Pokémon during the event. By tapping on each Bounsweet quickly to check for shinies and running from non-shiny ones, trainers can efficiently hunt for these elusive creatures. Additionally, paying attention to the direction faced by previously tapped Bounsweet can help in keeping track of checked Pokémon.

During the evolution of Steenee into Tsareena on Community Day between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., trainers can teach their Tsareena the powerful charged move High Jump Kick. For those unable to evolve their Pokémon during this time frame, another opportunity to learn High Jump Kick might arise during a Community Day weekend event in December or by using an Elite TM.

In terms of battling capabilities, Tsareena shows promise in PvE scenarios like raids and gyms, where it holds its own against established attackers such as Roserade and Chesnaught. However, its utility in PvP battles may be limited to specialized competitions due to the move High Jump Kick.

The Bounsweet Community Day offers various bonuses to trainers, including reduced hatch distances for eggs placed in Incubators, doubled candy rewards for catching Pokémon, and enhanced chances for trainers over level 31 to receive XL candy. Additionally, Incense and Lure Modules will have an extended duration of three hours. Special trades, reduced Stardust costs for trading, and Bounsweet photobombs during snapshots add to the excitement of the event.

As the event progresses, Niantic will host special four-star raids from 5-10 p.m., offering trainers an opportunity to participate in Steenee raids that could lead to increased Bounsweet spawns in a designated area. Trainers are encouraged to participate in raids for an additional chance to catch coveted Pokémon and make the most of the Bounsweet Community Day festivities.
