Jordan! HBO Announces Aaron Pierre as John Stewart for Upcoming Lanterns Series【2022】

Los Angeles, California – HBO has announced the casting of Aaron Pierre as John Stewart in the upcoming Lanterns series based on DC Comics. While the role of Hal Jordan is still up in the air, Kyle Chandler is reportedly in talks to join the series as the veteran Lantern. The show will follow Stewart, a new recruit to the Green Lantern Corps, as he teams up with Jordan to solve a murder mystery on Earth.

Pierre, known for his roles in Rebel Ridge and Old, narrowly beat out Stephan James for the role of John Stewart. The series, which is part of Warner Bros. and DC Studio’s new universe of interconnected comic book adaptations, is set to be a high-profile live-action project. With James Gunn’s Superman film and series like Creature Commandos also in the works, Lanterns is sure to be a key player in the expanding DC universe.

Lanterns does not have a confirmed release date yet, but showrunner Chris Mundy is already working on shaping the story for fans. It has been over a decade since fans have seen a new John Stewart story on the small screen, with Justice League Unlimited wrapping up in 2006. As fans eagerly anticipate the return of this beloved character, the dynamic between Stewart and Jordan promises to bring a fresh and exciting twist to the Lanterns series.
