Taylor Swift’s Generosity Knows No Bounds – Singer Donates $100,000 to Family of Mass Shooting Victim

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – A GoFundMe page created to support the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a victim of a mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory parade, has received generous support from pop star Taylor Swift. Swift made donations totaling $100,000 to the “Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan Memorial” page, surpassing its $75,000 goal, just hours after it was set up.

The GoFundMe page was established to help Lopez-Galvan’s family, including her two children and husband of 22 years, after she was tragically killed during the celebration of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory. Lopez-Galvan, 44, was struck by a gunshot and sadly passed away at the scene. She was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Swift, who was in Melbourne, Australia, at the time, made the donations during her tour, expressing her deepest sympathies and condolences to the family. The pop star has been known for her philanthropy, previously contributing to other causes through the fundraising platform. It was reported in 2015 that she had to make multiple donations to reach her intended amount, leading to an increase in the maximum donation cap on GoFundMe.

The shooting incident at the parade left 23 people injured, with Lopez-Galvan being the only fatality among them. Her son, as well as other relatives, were also wounded in the chaos that ensued. Swift, a frequent guest at Chiefs games, has been at the forefront of supporting various charitable efforts, using her platform to create positive impact in the community.

In light of the tragic events, the community has come together to support the Lopez-Galvan family during this difficult time. The outpouring of generosity and solidarity serves as a testament to the impact of Lopez-Galvan’s life and the love she shared with those around her. This support will undoubtedly help provide financial assistance to her family as they navigate through this unimaginable loss.
