Los Angeles, California – Guns N’ Roses guitarist known as Slash revealed the heartbreaking news of the sudden passing of his 25-year-old stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, on Friday. The iconic musician shared the tragic news on his Instagram account, expressing his devastation at the loss.
In a heartfelt post, Slash described Lucy-Bleu as a talented artist, passionate dreamer, and a kind and lovable soul. He also asked for privacy from the public and requested that social media speculation be kept at a minimum to allow the family to grieve and process the loss.
The cause of Knight’s death remains unknown as reported by the Department of Medical Examiner’s Office. An examination has been scheduled to determine the circumstances surrounding her passing.
Before sharing the news of his stepdaughter’s death, Slash had announced the cancellation of some tour dates for his S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour in Ohio and Michigan due to unforeseen circumstances. The musician expressed his love and apology to fans for any inconvenience caused by the cancellations, promising refunds for the affected dates and a resumption of the tour in Toronto on July 28.
Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, is in a relationship with Lucy-Bleu’s mother, Meegan Hodges. The couple has a lengthy history, having first been together in 1989 before reuniting in 2015. Hodges shares Lucy-Bleu and her sister Scarlet with her former partner Mark Knight, who is now married to producer Samantha Somers. On the other hand, Slash has two sons, London and Cash, with his ex-wife Perla Ferrar.
Knight was Hodges’ daughter, and after Slash’s post on Instagram, she shared the message on her own account as well. An Instagram account believed to belong to Knight also made a cryptic final post following Slash’s announcement, reflecting on missed opportunities and expressing regret over past actions.
