Santa Clara, California – After firing defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan is rumored to be considering former Rams defensive coordinator and Chargers head coach Brandon Staley as a potential successor.
Staley’s tenure with the Chargers ended in 2023 after a blowout loss to the Raiders. Although he was considered for the Rams’ defensive coordinator position after Raheem Morris left for the Falcons, he was not ultimately hired.
