A 13-year-old was sexually assaulted by a migrant with a knife

NEW YORK, NY – A disturbing incident unfolded in a New York City park when a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in broad daylight, according to police reports.

The New York Police Department stated that the girl and her 13-year-old male friend were at Kissena Park in Queens on Thursday, June 13, at approximately 3:30 p.m. As they enjoyed their afternoon, a man approached them, brandishing a knife and demanding they follow him into a wooded area.

Once in the secluded part of the park, the suspect confiscated their cell phones and used a shoelace to bind their wrists together. With the teenagers rendered helpless, the man allegedly raped the young girl before fleeing the scene.

The teens managed to free themselves and sought help at a nearby school, where they called 911. Both were taken to a hospital and were reported to be in stable condition.

The NYPD has released a sketch of the suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, approximately 5’ 5” tall, with curly hair. He was last seen wearing red sneakers and carrying a green backpack. Notably, he has dental braces and a distinctive tattoo of a boar or bull with red eyes on his chest.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
