A known felon shoots five people in a coffee shop on Easter Sunday

NASHVILLE, TN – A deadly shooting occurred at a local coffee shop, Roasted Salemtown, during Easter brunch, according to Nashville Police. The incident left one person dead and four others injured.

The suspect, identified as Anton Rucker, 46, a convicted felon, is currently being pursued by the authorities. Rucker has a criminal history, including aggravated assault convictions in Nashville and previous arrests in Murfreesboro on felony drug charges and gun-related offenses.

The motive for the shooting is still under investigation. According to police, the incident took place around 3 p.m. when Rucker opened fire inside the bustling coffee shop, hitting five individuals and fatally wounding one.

The Metro Nashville Police Department released surveillance photos of Rucker, who was seen leaving the scene in a Mercedes GLS 450. The authorities believe that the individual who had a dispute with Rucker was the one who was fatally shot.

Eight people were transported from the scene, including a pregnant woman who was taken to the hospital due to a panic attack. The police clarified that this was not a shoot-out and there is no evidence to suggest that the individuals involved in the dispute knew each other.

Roasted Salemtown, located in the Salemtown neighborhood of Nashville, has not had significant issues in the past, according to authorities. They believe this shooting was an isolated incident.
