Orlando, Florida – The family of a doctor who tragically passed away from a severe allergic reaction is seeking justice through a lawsuit against Disney Springs and a restaurant located there. Kanokporn Tangsuan’s family visited Raglan Road Irish Pub at Disney Springs on a fateful day in October 2023. Tangsuan, known for her severe allergies to nuts and dairy, placed her trust in Disney to take necessary precautions for her safety.
When Tangsuan and her husband informed the waiter about her allergies, they were assured that the food could be prepared safely. Despite the family’s inquiries and assurances from the chef, the lawsuit claims that some of the dishes served to Tangsuan did not have proper allergen-free markings. This oversight was allegedly overlooked by the waiter who guaranteed the food’s safety.
Following dinner, Tangsuan went shopping with her mother-in-law while her husband returned to their accommodation. While shopping at different stores, Tangsuan began experiencing breathing difficulties and collapsed. Emergency services were contacted, and Tangsuan’s mother-in-law, unable to reach her, rushed to the scene. Tragically, Tangsuan’s condition worsened, leading to her passing away despite self-administering an epi pen.
Upon an investigation by the medical examiner, it was determined that Tangsuan’s cause of death was attributed to anaphylaxis due to elevated levels of dairy and nuts in her system. The family is now seeking accountability from Disney Springs and the restaurant for their alleged negligence in ensuring Tangsuan’s safety. Disney Springs has yet to provide a comment regarding these claims.
