Andy Cohen Apologizes for “Totally Inappropriate” Video in Response to Brandi Glanville’s Sexual Harassment Accusations

Los Angeles, California – Andy Cohen, the former host of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is facing accusations of sexual harassment by ex-Housewife Brandi Glanville. In a letter to NBCUniversal, Shed Media, and Warner Bros., Glanville’s attorneys claimed that an “obviously inebriated” Cohen sent her a video in 2022, expressing his intention to sleep with a Bravo star while inviting her to watch via FaceTime. Glanville’s lawyers characterized the incident as “an extraordinary abuse of power” that left her feeling “trapped and disgusted.”

Cohen acknowledged the video as “totally inappropriate,” but insisted that it was meant as a joke and that Glanville’s response indicated she was in on the joke. However, the lawyers urged other abused former reality TV show cast members to come forward, citing the need for change in the industry.

The attorneys, Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos, are industry heavyweights who also represented former “Real Housewives of New York City” star Bethenny Frankel in similar claims against television executives. Geragos has previously spoken out about hearing from around 50 victims who have been mistreated on the sets of reality shows, indicating a need for a change in the system.

Meanwhile, Glanville has been accused of sexual harassment herself by another Bravo figure. Former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Caroline Manzo claimed that Glanville had forcibly kissed her and engaged in other inappropriate behavior during the filming of a reality show. These allegations point to a troubling pattern of behavior within the reality TV industry.

As the accusations and denials continue to unfold, the reality TV industry is facing increasing scrutiny for its treatment of cast members and the need for reforms to address these issues. This ongoing controversy highlights the importance of holding those in power accountable and ensuring a safe and respectful work environment for all individuals involved in reality television.
