Dallas, Texas – The Dallas Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice in connection to a multi-vehicle crash in northeast Dallas. Rice is facing charges of aggravated assault, collision involving serious bodily injury, and collision involving injury, according to law enforcement officials.

Police reported that Rice is expected to cooperate and turn himself in to authorities in the near future. The incident, which occurred on March 30, involved a Lamborghini driven by Rice, a Corvette, and four other vehicles.

Rice’s lawyer, Royce West, confirmed that Rice was the driver of the Lamborghini involved in the crash. Additionally, arrest warrants have been issued for Theodore Knox, the 21-year-old driver of the Corvette. Knox faces similar charges as Rice in connection to the collision.

Both drivers fled the scene after the crash, leaving two individuals with minor injuries treated on-site and two others taken to the hospital with minor injuries. West, who also serves as a Texas state senator, expressed Rice’s desire to assist those impacted by the accident and restore normalcy to their lives.

Rice previously took responsibility for the incident in an Instagram post, expressing his willingness to cooperate with authorities. The Chiefs have refrained from commenting on the situation, and attempts to reach Rice’s attorney for a statement were unsuccessful.

Rice, a 23-year-old wide receiver, hails from North Richland Hills, Texas, and played collegiate football at SMU before being drafted by the Chiefs in 2023. His emergence as one of the team’s top receivers in the previous season culminated in a Super Bowl victory for Kansas City.

As the investigation unfolds with potential legal repercussions and suspension looming, the future remains uncertain for Rashee Rice in light of this unfortunate incident.
