At least 27 people hurt, several critical, in mass shooting

AKRON, OH – A tragic shooting early Sunday morning left one man dead and at least 26 others injured in Akron, Ohio. The Akron Police Department reported that the incident occurred near Kelly Avenue and 8th Avenue, approximately 40 miles south of Cleveland, shortly after midnight.

Authorities responded swiftly to multiple calls about gunfire in the area. As officers were dispatched to the scene, local hospitals began notifying the call center of numerous individuals arriving with gunshot wounds. The injured included a 27-year-old man who later succumbed to his injuries.
