Los Angeles, California – Actor Nick Pasqual faces charges of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his estranged girlfriend multiple times in a violent incident that shocked the community.
According to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, Pasqual broke into his estranged girlfriend’s home in Los Angeles at 4:30 a.m. on May 23 and carried out the attack. The victim, who had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual, suffered critical injuries and was hospitalized following the assault.
District Attorney George Gascón expressed sympathies for the victim and highlighted the dangers of domestic violence in light of the incident. He emphasized the importance of holding the perpetrator accountable for their actions and providing support to the victim as she begins the healing process.
An arrest warrant was issued for Pasqual on May 24, following the stabbing. He attempted to flee but was apprehended at a U.S./Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas. Pasqual now faces charges of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary, and injuring a spouse or partner.
Pasqual will be extradited to Los Angeles County to face these serious charges. The court has set his bail at $1.075 million, and if convicted, he could potentially face a life sentence in state prison.
