Baby dies afer being attacked by family dog in crib

KNOXVILLE, TN – A horrific incident unfolded in Tennessee last week when a 6-week-old baby boy was fatally attacked by his family’s dog. The unprovoked attack occurred on May 24 while the infant, Ezra Mansoor, was resting in his crib at his family’s Knoxville home.

Chloe Mansoor, the boy’s mother, shared that their Husky, which had no prior aggression towards children, suddenly attacked Ezra. The grieving mother, who is still grappling to comprehend the tragedy, said there had been no signs of hostility, and the dog had spent time around other kids without issue.

While expressing her grief, Chloe stressed, “Ezra meant everything. There’s really no words, other than just absolutely everything.” She wants her devastating loss to serve as a warning to other parents, raising awareness around the unpredictability of any breed of dog.

After the devastating event took her baby’s life, Chloe decided to donate her son’s organs.

After the infant’s untimely death took place, the family’s Husky was taken to Young-Williams Animal Center. The local animal shelter confirmed that it is keeping the dog in its custody. As per the latest reports, The Knox County Sheriff’s Office refrained from commenting on the open investigation because it involves a minor.
