Bam Margera Pleads Guilty to Disorderly Conduct Charges After Altercation – One Year Sober and Turning His Life Around

West Chester, Pennsylvania – Former “Jackass” star Bam Margera appeared in court and pled guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct charges stemming from an altercation at his home near Philadelphia. The plea was entered just before the start of his trial, leading to Margera receiving a sentence of six months probation and random drug testing.

Despite the incidents, Margera expressed his commitment to drug and alcohol treatment during a previous hearing, emphasizing his desire to turn his life around.

During the court proceedings, Jess Margera, Bam’s brother, described him as a “good dude when he’s not messed up.” Testifying that Bam had been awake for days, leading to a physical altercation where Jess suffered a ruptured eardrum. Margera’s girlfriend also contacted the police after he kicked in her bedroom door.

In defense of his client, lawyer William J. Brennan highlighted Margera’s successful plea to two summary offenses and his current state of sobriety. Margera himself acknowledged his past struggles with addiction outside the courthouse, noting his upcoming one year anniversary of sobriety on August 1.

Reflecting on the positive changes in his life, Margera expressed his determination to maintain his sobriety and avoid returning to his previous lifestyle. By embracing his newfound clarity and commitment to sobriety, Margera aims to move forward positively from his past experiences.
