Boat party turns violent with multiple stabbings

BROOKLYN, NY – A violent altercation erupted on a party boat in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday, resulting in at least two people being stabbed, according to local law enforcement.

The incident took place at the Brooklyn Army Terminal’s Pier 4 in Sunset Park around 5:05 p.m. following a 911 call reporting a knife assault. The New York Police Department was quick to respond to the emergency call.

Among the victims was a 32-year-old man who suffered a single stab wound to his torso. Another man, aged 40, was found with multiple stab injuries to his chest and stomach. Additionally, a 28-year-old man was struck in the head with a bottle.

Despite their injuries, all three victims were conscious upon their arrival at a nearby hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition. The authorities have noted that the violent attack was sparked by a verbal dispute.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Eyewitnesses reported a large crowd on the boat at the time of the assault. Kevaun Whitely, a witness, described the chaotic scene, “There were just fights. Fights, stabbings. Everybody was just trying to get out.”

Whitely, a 27-year-old Brooklyn resident, managed to find a safe spot on the boat with his brother until the situation calmed down.

The Brooklyn Army Terminal, where the incident occurred, is a significant manufacturing hub with a rich history. Constructed between 1918 and 1919, it served as the largest military supply base in the United States during World War II.

This violent incident on the party boat came just hours after police in Queens shot and killed a man who reportedly refused to drop his knife, despite officers’ commands and the use of Tasers.
