Brewery Closure Drama: Greenville Brewery to Shut Down on 7th Anniversary

Greenville, South Carolina – A popular brewery in Greenville, South Carolina, is set to close its doors in 2024, one day shy of its seventh grand opening anniversary. Wandering Bard Meadery made the announcement on Facebook, citing the expiration of its lease at Hampton Station as the reason for the closure. The decision was not influenced by liquor liability insurance but rather by the end of the lease agreement with Hampton Station.

According to the brewery’s post, they expressed gratitude to all their customers who have supported them throughout their journey. While the future of Wandering Bard Meadery post-Hampton Station remains uncertain, the brewery plans to host several events before its closure, including a summer solstice celebration with Dungeons and Dragons and the Four Banner Bards on June 22, a late-night show on June 29, and a 7-year anniversary celebration on November 2. In addition, the brewery regularly holds trivia nights on Wednesdays, game nights on Thursdays, and an open party Dungeons and Dragons event on the last Saturday of every month.

The Wandering Bard Meadery’s impending closure marks the end of an era for the beloved brewery in Greenville. Despite the challenges faced, the brewery remains grateful for the support of its patrons and looks ahead to the possibility of a new chapter in its future. As the final days approach, customers and fans are invited to partake in the brewery’s remaining events and celebrations as a way to bid farewell to this iconic establishment.
