Emergency responders from the Junction Fire Company were called to the extraordinary crash scene on Alfarata Road in Decatur Township at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, they discovered a Toyota Corolla lodged on the roof and protruding through a dormer. The fire company shared remarkable images of the crash, revealing a gaping hole in the side of the house. The front of the car was severely damaged, with shattered wood scattered across the roof and lawn below.
Inside the house, the impact of the crash was evident. A photograph captured the plaid-wallpapered room where the car had entered, demolishing a wall in the process. Broken wood and other debris covered the floor, while an old treadmill remained standing amidst the chaos. The removal of the car left a massive hole in the top corner of the house. Emergency crews worked swiftly to stabilize the building and placed a tarp over the hole to protect against incoming storms.
