Chaos at Fenway Park: Woman Crashes Through Gate After Wild Rampage

Boston, MA – A series of chaotic events unfolded in Boston on Monday morning, involving a woman who was allegedly responsible for crashes inside the Ted Williams Tunnel, at the United States Coast Guard base, and ultimately ramming her car through a gate at Fenway Park.

The incident began when a Massachusetts State Police trooper encountered a motorist who reported a 2024 Honda Accord being driven erratically and aggressively in Revere. The trooper later spotted the vehicle and attempted to engage, but due to the area’s high density, no pursuit was initiated.

The woman, identified as 48-year-old Colleen Marie Gibbs from Salem, then proceeded to crash her car at the USCG base on Hanover Street before driving through Gate 3 on Lansdowne Street at Fenway Park. She then headed to the Ted Williams Tunnel entrance, where she struck two vehicles before fleeing the scene.

A police report revealed that Gibbs drove her car through an open garage door at Gate C on Lansdowne Street, narrowly avoiding driving onto the field where Northeastern University’s Commencement had taken place the day prior. The situation escalated as a Boston police officer attempted to stop Gibbs, prompting him to advise Fenway staff to evacuate the area.

Gibbs refused to exit the vehicle, leading to the officer forcibly removing her from the car. She was subsequently taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, with Boston Police planning to charge her with multiple offenses, including assault with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

The Massachusetts State Police also intend to file charges against Gibbs, although no court date has been scheduled at this time. The story is still developing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available. Readers can follow Boston 25 News on social media platforms for the latest updates on this incident.
